Careful assessment
We begin with a clear assessment of the garment, its fabric, and the requested change, so the project scope stays realistic from the start.
We redesign, alter, and upcycle clothing to give well-made garments a longer life. Every project starts with a careful review of the fabric, construction, and fit.
Fit Studio works with garments that deserve a second chapter, from vintage pieces to clothes with personal meaning. We look at what can be kept, reshaped, and improved before any work begins.
Our approach combines practical tailoring with creative remodelling, so the result feels wearable, considered, and true to the original item.
Founded by Maja Jensen in 2018, Fit Studio grew from a simple idea: clothing should be adjusted, reused, and valued for as long as possible. That idea still shapes every project we take on.
We began with alterations and gradually expanded into remodelling and upcycling for customers who wanted more than a basic repair. Today, we help turn existing garments into pieces that suit new needs and new styles.
Some projects focus on a better fit, while others involve redesigning a dress, restyling a jacket, or reusing fabric for a new accessory. Each piece is assessed on its own construction and condition.
Before work starts, we agree on the concept and scope so the finished result stays realistic and aligned with the garment itself.

Our work is shaped by practical tailoring, honest project planning, and a respect for garments that already have a story.
We begin with a clear assessment of the garment, its fabric, and the requested change, so the project scope stays realistic from the start.
Every redesign is discussed before work begins. We confirm the concept, explain the steps, and only move forward once it is approved.
We look for ways to reuse existing material wherever possible, whether that means reshaping the garment or turning fabric into something new.
At collection, we review the fit or finish again and handle any small final adjustment carefully, without changing the agreed design.
